Kossel 2040 corners
thingiverse
I removed the front three alignment tabs from the vertical channels because I couldn't get T-nuts into the channel with them in place. I also notched the horizontal alignment tabs for t-nuts because when I tightened down the screws there was still a bit of wobble on the horizontals where the t-nuts bottomed on the out on the tabs and didn't make contact with the aluminum extrusion. Parts printed perfectly! Hatchbox Orange PLA - All corners https://amzn.to/2usjC98 Hatchbox White PLA - Motor brackets https://amzn.to/2S1uCDB Hatchbox Black PLA - Linear rail carriages (not pictured) https://amzn.to/2tyt4aD Printed all parts in Hatchbox PLA on a modified Anet A6L. No supports 0.20mm layer height 210c nozzle 60c bed My original idea was to base my printer on 3DBuilder's XXL but I couldn't get the corners to print correctly to save my life. I wasted 1.5kg of filament in the process and finally gave up. I printed the upper corner from mming1106's kossel 2040 kit and couldn't get the t-nuts into the channels because of the vertical alignment tabs in the front three channels so I passed over these parts for a while. I finally decided to modify the parts to work for me. I am working through this printer build and will update the parts list as I go. So far I have purchased the following parts: 3x 1000mm 2040 Extrusion https://us.misumi-ec.com/vona2/detail/110302684350/?HissuCode=HFS5-2040-1000 9x 471mm 2020 Extrusion https://us.misumi-ec.com/vona2/detail/110302683830/?HissuCode=HFS5-2020-471 1x 3 pack NMEA 17 stepper motors https://amzn.to/2vbkPSe 1x 3 pack NMEA 17 stepper vibration damper https://amzn.to/2vVHXop 1x 5 pack GT2 16T pulley 5mm bore https://amzn.to/2v8Edzp 1x 10 pcs F623ZZ flanged bearings https://amzn.to/2uoiP9n 1x BIQU MKS-Base v1.6 controller board https://amzn.to/2UxdyqS 2x 100pcs M4 sliding T-Nuts https://amzn.to/2S4LV6P 2x 100pcs M4 x 10mm socket cap screws https://amzn.to/387utnQ 1x 6 pack Optical endstop switch https://amzn.to/2tDGzpG Also some (200pcs) M4 flat washers and m3 screws for attaching the stepper motors
