I modified the original Kossel 2020 frame base by adding a solid 3mm fill in the area between extrusion "arms" to provide added stiffness that compensates for cutting out the motor mount into a separate plate which can be dropped in and secured with ease, thanks to a screw-down cap to keep it firmly in place.
