This filament spool holder is engineered to sit atop a Kossel printer that relies on 20x20mm extrusions for the upper frame. It utilizes some printed components and various hardware commonly found in local US hardware stores. I opted for an aluminum rod and bearings from Home Depot to create a simple yet effective spool holder. Components include: a. A ½” aluminum round rod, cut to desired length b. Two 1-3/8” x ½” precision bearing reducers c. Two ½” bore set screw collars (or cable ties work as an alternative) d. Printed spool hub and two rail mounts (accessible via Thingiverse), you might need to adjust the spool hub diameter according to the brand of filament being used. e. Four M3 screws, washers, and T-nuts The inspiration for this design stems from 3DFreezeMe's original creation for 15mm extrusion.
