Kossel 2020 50mm Base Fan Adapter

I decided to install a cooling fan on my FolgerTech Kossel 2020 base unit, choosing a 50mm model because it fits perfectly in the extrusion slots, making mounting a breeze. The base has two sides made from 20mm 2020 elements, positioned vertically. A major drawback of attaching the fan directly to these extrusions is that most of its airflow goes straight into the upper and lower elements, causing unnecessary turbulence. To solve this issue, I designed an adapter for my 50mm fan. This funnel-shaped attachment collects the air and directs it in between the 2020 elements with minimal resistance. The rectangular outlet on the adapter stands at 19mm tall to accommodate quick draft printing. With an 8mm deep fan installed, mounting requires M3x45mm machine screws attached diagonally for a secure fit. I used two screws to attach both the fan and adapter to the extrusions, which worked just fine.
