Kort Nozzle with MARIN 37 profile
thingiverse
The Kort Nozzle, originating from Maritime Research Institute Netherlands (MARIN) No. 37 design, is an enhancement for boat or submersible propellers that boosts thrust at low speeds. Widely adopted in commercial Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs), this nozzle type offers a trade-off between forward and backward thrust. The inner radius of the nozzle can be customized to fit any propeller size, with the wider end pointing towards the front. However, the profile was manually traced from a GIF image, so it may not be hyper-accurate. Future designs could include mounting points depending on the specific application; currently, a version with 62mm inner diameter and a mounting bracket with two 5mm bolt holes is available, suitable for ROV vertical thrusters using 60mm propellers.
