Kort nozzle for 50 mm propeller
thingiverse
I created a model of a Kort nozzle used on working boats like tugs and research vessels using online pictures and basic information about these shapes. The model consists of three parts: Korth 1 is the main body of the nozzle, Korth 2 is the rudder mount, and the Rudder. I printed the model from PET with Korth 1 facing up and the Rudder oriented upside-down. The print was done using a 0.4 mm nozzle and 0.15 mm z step, with an infill set to "Archimedean Chords" at 20% density. The final prints had a slight ellipticity of 0.1 ~ 0.2 mm in the inner diameter. I updated the files on January 30, 2018. I cut the main body into two pieces for better printing of the front. It used to be a bit deformed, so I remodeled the rudder base to a better shape. I also left here the uncut body if that would be preferred.
