Korokke Mold
thingiverse
Here's a mold for making korokke quickly: a fast and easy way to create Japanese croquettes. The basic type of korokke is made from a mix of mashed potatoes and cooked ground beef, then breaded in panko breadcrumbs and deep-fried for 3 minutes - they're absolutely delicious! Simply adjust the size of the mold to fit your desired korokke size and print with PLA or food-safe filament. To make them look better, sand it smooth afterwards. On a side note, if anyone wants my recipe, just ask and I'll add it to the description. The potato korokke recipe from Japanese 101 is here: Potato Korokke (croquette). Prep Time: 1 hour, 40 minutes Cook Time: 15 minutes Yield: 8 pieces Ingredients: • 1 lb potatoes • 1 tsp oil • 1/2 lb ground beef • 1/2 onion, minced • 1/4-1/2 tsp salt • pepper • flour • eggs • Panko(bread crumbs) • oil for deep frying • Tonkatsu sauce Instructions: Peel the potatoes and cut them into four pieces each. Boil them until they're soft, then mash well in a large bowl. Heat the oil in a pan, add onion, and cook until softened. Add ground beef and cook until browned and fully cooked through. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix the mashed potatoes and meat mixture together and add more salt and pepper as desired. Let it cool down. Divide the potato mixture into eight equal parts and shape each part into an oval patty. Refrigerate for about one hour. Dredge in flour, then eggs, and finally Panko breadcrumbs. Heat the deep-frying oil to 350-375F. Fry the patties for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
