Korg NTS-1 sound wave overlays and knobs
thingiverse
Here are some 3D printable knobs and overlays for the KORG Nu:Tekt NTS-1. The design on the overlays is a rendering of the sound wave produced by a major chord. For a more subtle look, print the files in a single color. To print the top overlay in two colors, pause the print at 6.8mm and change the filament. To print the front and side overlays in two colors, pause the print at 0.8mm and change the filament. The eight included knobs work well on an NTS-1 without a top overlay, or with a low profile overlay like this one. Each style of knob is available in two sizes and each size has both a plain version and a pointer version that indicates the direction the knob is turned. The knob STL file names indicate the style and size of the knob. The file names that begin with knob2 are knobs with smooth vertical ridges. The knob3 knobs have a diamond pattern. The pointer knob file names end with ptr. The knobs on the black and silver NTS-1 are knob2_slim.stl on the TYPE control, and knob2_slim_ptr.stl on A and B. The knobs on the blue and bronze NTS-1 are knob3_med.stl on TYPE, and knob3_slim_ptr.stl on A and B. The knobs on the red and bronze NTS-1 are knob3_med.stl on TYPE, and knob3_med_ptr.stl on A and B. To print knob3_slim_ptr.stl or knob3_med_ptr.stl knobs in two colors, pause the print at 14.4mm and change the filament. I have other styles and sizes of knobs, if anyone needs them. I made the sound wave design by adding three sine waves together, one at the tonic frequency, one at the major third, and one at the fifth in the natural scale. I also used sine waves to design the knobs. Please post your makes! I'd love to see what you've done with your NTS-1.
