Flóris Korb was born in Kecskemét on April 7, 1860. He studied architecture in Berlin and upon completion of his studies returned to Budapest to work under the direction of Alajos Hauszmann for fourteen years. During this time, he played a significant role in designing the New York Palace. In 1893, Korb formed a partnership with Kálmán Giergl that led to numerous prestigious commissions in the rapidly developing capital. By 1924, Korb had earned the Greguss prize and was welcomed as a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects. This object is part of "Scan The World," a non-profit initiative launched by MyMiniFactory aimed at creating a comprehensive digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the world available to the public for free.
