This is a replacement PCB case designed specifically for the Koowheel D3M electric skateboard, which is notorious for its poor durability due to various design flaws. These issues can render your board unusable after just a few months of use, making this upgrade an essential tool for reliability. DANGER! 1. This design requires new connectors to be soldered onto your battery and PCB. Working with LiPo batteries or high-power circuits is extremely hazardous and should only be attempted by experts who are 100% confident in their abilities. We cannot stress enough the importance of avoiding any actions that could potentially result in a house fire. 2. Please note that this design does not guarantee any level of water resistance. Design Improvements Over Original: Battery Connector The Koowheel D3M's original PCB case uses a rigid connection between the battery and circuit board, which is prone to disconnections and cannot handle flex in the board effectively. This new design utilizes a female XT60 connector that is mounted directly into the case and should be attached to high-gauge silicone wire for optimal reliability. This secure connection allows the board to flex freely. Case Mounts The original Koowheel D3M case mounts are thin and prone to breaking due to board flex. These new mounts use more material, ensuring they can withstand board flex for a much longer period. PCB Mounts The Koowheel D3M's original PCB is mounted into the case using potting compound, which provides protection against moisture but makes disassembly complicated. This design uses four 3mm mounting bosses to securely attach the PCB to the case, allowing for easy reassembly. We recommend soft-mounting the PCB using silicone wire or a rubber grommet to prevent the PCB from flexing and external shock. When you're ready, I'll upload source files for your convenience.
