Kongorilla's LED Light Painting Gondola
youmagine
This is a custom polargraph gondola for drawing light paintings with an LED. It leverages the polargraph's pen lift servo to switch the LED on and off, so no modifications are needed to your polargraph's firmware. Information about polargraphs can be found at http://www.polargraph.co.uk. Light paintings typically involve slow shutter speed photos taken in a dark environment with moving light sources or a moving camera. With this gondola and a polargraph, you can create photos or SVGs with a small dot of light at a slow pace. You can find more details about this project on Thingiverse: www.thingiverse.com/thing:38216. The parametric battery clip by holgero served as the basis for my battery holder design. Thanks to holgero for the inspiration! The 9G servo in OpenSCAD by TheCase was used as a size reference, and its code is included in the .blend file. I'd like to thank TheCase for their contribution to this project.
