I was determined to swap out the doors on my Ikea closets, but I noticed the hole spacing for the hinges had shifted significantly over time - from 35 mm to a more compact 25 mm. As a result, some door sizes had also undergone changes, necessitating the repositioning of certain hinges. To tackle this challenge, two custom drill templates were created and effectively utilized. Thankfully, all nine doors are now securely in place, a testament to my perseverance. This DIY solution may prove beneficial for anyone looking to give their closets a fresh new look without breaking the bank by replacing everything from scratch.
