Komperdell Duolock Lower Tensioner Shaft
thingiverse
This is a precision-matched replacement tensioner shaft designed for Komperdell Duolock carbon fiber hiking/trekking poles featuring a lower 12mm diameter pole, compatible with the original nuts and expanding sleeve. The threads are carefully crafted at a 1mm pitch, with optimal results achieved through printing at 0.08mm or 0.12mm layers, although using 0.20mm layers is still functional. PLA filament is suitable for initial testing, but may break during screw tensioning; for durable parts, nylon or similar filament is recommended. Removing the original part from the pole can be a challenging task - I employed a temperature-controlled hot air gun set to 300c to heat up the carbon fiber body, allowing me to successfully remove the original tensioner shaft. This process may discolor the carbon fiber slightly, but lower temperatures proved insufficient for releasing the tensioner. To install the new parts, I applied E6000 glue to the base of the new tensioner shaft and heated up the pole, carefully pressing the tensioner into place - it can require some force to fully seat the tensioner. It's essential to note that single-component glues like E6000 may take up to 72 hours to cure before applying force.
