This is an update to my Kompaktkossel build. A few things were off with the original version: With the carriages, the belt positioning was a bit off so there were binding issues. The new carriages fix this. Note that the horn distance is 40mm, but I'm using a washer and an extra M3 nut to extend it a little, so the diagonal arms have enough free space and don't collide with the carriage. Also, the "Squirrel" effector could collide with the diagonal rods at certain bed positions. The new "Turbosnail" effector does not reach over the edges of the triangular borders. Then, the diagonal rods were too short to reach every point on the plate. The new beams are 185mm hole-center to hole-center. With the new rods, it has to be a little taller, with these measurements, it will work with both 450mm or 500mm tower beams. It also got a heated bed, the purple 170mm hexagonal bed you can acquire at various Chinese sources. New heat bed holders were designed for this. A stronger PSU was in order for the heated bed to work. Luckily, the "100W" heated bed had a resistance of 4 Ohms, which only makes it a ~40W bed at 12V which doesn't blow the PSU. Finally, it now works with a Duet Maestro board. It barely fits, but it fits. I had to use a short ethernet extension with a socket on one end to put the RJ45 socket between the beams.
