Professionally, I work with Injection Molding Machines and they often require material changes. To "clean" the screw, a neutral material like Polypropylene or even a chemical cleaning material is used. To make filling easier, I designed a simple funnel that allows for "sample material" to be filled in small quantities without having to build up or clean a large machine funnel. In practice, this funnel with two diameters has proven itself particularly well in medium-sized to small machines from Arburg and Krauss Maffei, used by some of my colleagues. The 35mm diameter is mainly for smaller 40t Arburg machines with smaller screw diameters (<=22mm). The 40mm diameter fits other machines with a roughly 40mm large filling shaft. You can make modifications to this piece as you see fit... I work with Injection Molding Machines and I need this item to clean the Screw with Neutral material like Polypropylene or Cleaning Plastic Material. The different diameters are used in medium-sized Arburg and Kraus Maffei machines, also in small (35mm) Arburg machines with a Screw size <=22mm. I hope you enjoy it...
