I've decided to go with the idea of making a koi fish coaster for the redesign project, because everyone needs a coaster at any given time. My design concept is centered around an actual koi fish shape that doubles as decoration, serving multiple purposes in one. I'm aiming for natural colors and a relaxed pose for the fish, avoiding an overly dramatic look in favor of simplicity with a flowing curve to the fish's body. The design could feature just the fish itself or a square shape surrounding the fish in the center, both options working well together. Koi fish are known to bring good fortune and good luck, making this design a great inspiration for these uncertain times. I'll draw reference from cartoon koi fish illustrations to achieve that distinctive look, something that can seamlessly blend into any room in the house while still being eye-catching due to its playful appearance.
