Today on Carnival Monday, Greenpeace unveiled a striking carnival float designed by Jacques Tilly as a scathing critique of German Christian Party leader Armin Laschet's climate policies. The float made its debut in the morning outside Cologne Cathedral and later moved to Keyenberg Church, where it was captured in this stunning scan. Keyenberg Church features prominently on the float, with Laschet depicted as recklessly destroying it with a bucket wheel excavator. This dramatic scene serves as a powerful reminder of the village's plight due to the looming Garzweiler coal mine in Germany, Europe's largest source of CO2 emissions.
