While keeping with the overall aesthetic of the Koenigsegg, the approach is to keep the latch from being a disctraction from the car design and at first glance keep it a simple point for the car badging. The details of the design are simple. The inner panel that covers the finger pocket is sprung "up" to keep the surfaces flush and streamlined. A light push on the inner panel would rotate the part out of the way, locking it in the open position and allow access to the underside of the handle. Once the handle is articulated to full extension, it releases the detent and the handle would spring back to start position once released. Aside from providing an overall stealth approach by "uncelebrating" the latch aspect of the part, it is also functional. By keeping the area sealed with unwanted undercuts and pockets, we're able to keep unwanted road dust out of the unit.
