Hopefully going to have the motivation to create a new series called Kodama spirits of the forest. A sign that the forest is thriving. You can find my set on Etsy, where I sell it. I use 11/16 inch ceramic craft magnets for this project. The links to Amazon suppliers may not always work as they change frequently. I prefer ones with pole dimples and beveled edges. Try using this link to search for them on Amazon: . Print Settings: Printer Brand: Solidoodle Printer: Solidoodle 4 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 20% Honeycomb Notes: This model relies on three things going right. The main hole for the magnet needs to have a strong grip on the bed surface. If it warps, you can use a Dremel to scrape away the excess material in post-processing. The bridging for the magnet hole should be smooth and even. I've made sure the body is 6.6mm tall, giving a nice cushion of 8 layers at 0.2mm resolution to smooth it out. Finally, the color change at the end of layer 6.6 needs to be precise. I use Octoprint to control my printer, but you can also use Repetier Host, Pronterface, or Cura. Watch the Gcode viewer until it reaches the last move on the layer before changing colors. Overshooting and getting a bit on the next layer is not a disaster. To change colors, hit the Pause button and drive the head off the part immediately. Retract the current color by 50-75mm in increments of 25mm (make sure to remember how much you retract). Remove the old color and replace it with the new one, pushing it as far into the extruder as possible without moving the head. Extrude the same amount as you retracted. Be nearby to clean the head as it builds up on the bed. Pull away the extra material and hit Resume. The printer should remember the X, Y, and extruder motor positions and return to that point, continuing printing from where it left off. Finally, use the craft magnets mentioned earlier. Line up the hole with the magnet and press firmly down to snap it into place. If the hole is too small, use a screwdriver or Dremel to scrape off some extra plastic. If the hole becomes too wide, use strong crafting glue or super glue in the hole and press the magnet until they stick together.
