Kodak EasyShare Dock Adapter Plate for Z1012 IS
thingiverse
We have a couple old Kodak Z1012 cameras and a couple even older Kodak EasyShare docks. We still use the cameras for product photography and charging them in the dock keeps all the settings including the date and time. But these bases were not made for the larger camera/lenses that came later in the series Kodak EasyShare series. The electrical connection is right but the fit is hard to mate, wobbly once made, and a casual bump and the front heavy lens can tilt and disconnect the camera. This thing was sketched in Fusion 360 using measurements from the Kodak Series 3 Base (there is a photo printer with same connection base) and the bottom of one of our Z1012IS cameras. I also had an adapter that came with a much older camera. After printing, I had some difficulty removing supports and keeping the rather thin adapter plate to it's 2mm thickness. But from the plate up, the camera slips nicely between the bumpers and into position over the dock connector and a cradle up front supports the lens. I decided to cut the model in two; one part to print upside down. I thought I might glue them together or weld them with a 3DPen Printer that I have yet to find any practical use for. I abandoned this when I tried to fit the prints and found some horizontal expansion put a lie to the slip allowance in my sketch. A bit of double-stick tape seems to do a fine job of keeping the camera adapter exactly where it needs to stay. The STL for the rest of the adapter is included; as is the F3D model (no claim to Fusion expertise ;).
