Koch Snowflake Vase 1
thingiverse
This project involves creating a vase or hollow form based on a Koch Snowflake with three iterations, using a simple vase/tea light (LED only) design. The vase can be found in the 01kVase.stl file and looks great when printed on an Ultimaker with no fill and a wall thickness of 0.8. If desired, you can stop the print before it closes off to create an open vase. These designs work well as tea lights with Flicker LEDs from Evil Mad Scientist. For more information, visit http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:34791. To experiment with this design, download 01kVase.scad for the vase, koch2D.scad for Koch Snowflake code, and Koch1.dxf, Koch2.dxf, Koch3.dxf, and Koch4.dxf for the DXF files of the Snowflakes. The DXF files contain 2D Koch Snowflakes generated in Wolfram Mathematica, with the notebook available in KockSnowflakes.nb if you have Mathematica.
With this file you will be able to print Koch Snowflake Vase 1 with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Koch Snowflake Vase 1.
