You can attach a spacer directly to the original Kobo mini to create plenty of room for customization. This allows you to install extra batteries, a GPS, and a barometer for use with flight computer software such as XC Soar or Top Hat Soaring. Unfortunately, the new component does not fit into the original cover - instead, you'll need to craft a new one from epoxy. One notable benefit is that it accommodates a smaller blufly GPS vario perfectly well in its designated space. Note that cutting through for the cables may require some manual effort since that feature isn't typically printable easily.
