UPDATE - I added a second version with the hinges not going all the way through the cubes since this looks a bit nicer, it does print a bit more difficult so I would suggest first print the older version and then the updated version, the newer version also requires some more force to break the hinges free so a pair of pliers may be required. (new version - 5c_janfidget_rev3-cube_2-2.3mf)

This was inspired by https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1923755

Although redesigned from the ground up.

This has a nice hand feel and the clearances are MUCH tighter - in fact you need to break the hinges loose from the cubes - this is intentional. The first few folds of the cube will be tight but the idea was to push my printer to its limit. I would suggest first to print a 125% size one and see if your printer manages the clearances if it does then you can scale down to 100%.

All components are separate files so needs to be loaded using Prusa slicer with an MMU selected. Also make it possible to select e colour per hinge/block.

on 100% the clearances is 0.1mm in all cartesian directions (x y z)

Print instructions

I like to use supports on build plate only. But should print fine without supports.

Layer hight 0.1 or 0.2 mm
Cubes printed with 15% infill and the hinges with 100% infill

Take note: just after printing you need to break the hinges loose from the cubes - this takes some effort and could require the use of tools. If you are unable to break the hinges loose then you have failed the clearance test ;)
