Kobalt 40v Battery Wall Mount
thingiverse
Yet again, I seek to hang something on the wall for storage.\r\n\r\nI recently acquired a Kobalt 40v battery-powered lawnmower and, of course, I got a spare battery for it. Unfortunately, it's a large battery and I need to store it safely somewhere.\r\n\r\nEnter this adaptation of dbarthel's battery adapter. I salvaged the battery holder itself and made some drastic modifications to suit its new life as an inert socket to securely store the battery while mounted to the wall with 2 of my favorite flat-head drywall screws.\r\n\r\nI have two versions of this:\r\n\r\n**Mk. II** is a plain box with rails, my first version.\r\n\r\n**Mk. I** is the same as Mk. II but with hexagonal cutouts on the sides in an effort to reduce print time and material cost. I will note, this is my second attempt at doing the hexagon cutouts thing so it's probably better than my first try.\r\n\r\n***EDIT:*** First print on Mk.II was a complete success! Works perfectly fine without supports. Battery fit is snug but not tight. I'm thrilled, this is a final design. My print time was 20 minutes and 55 seconds.
