To address my MendelMax's lacking opto endstop holders, I designed custom ones specifically for the RepRap-Fab 1.0 kit. The mounts are compatible with Jonas Kuehling's X ends and feature upper-mounted Z motors and opto endstops from RepRapSource. For those who wish to modify the design, I also provide the SCAD source files. To install the endstop holders, follow these steps: 1) Print the x, y, z endstop mounts; 2) clean or re-drill holes as needed; 3) secure opto endstop PCBs to the plastics with M3x15 screws, washers, and nuts, using a washer between the PCB and plastic for height consistency; 4) mount Z and Y holders with M5x10 and M5 T-nuts at specified locations; 5) install X min holder on left X end replacing the M3 nut with an M3x30 screw, adjusting as needed; 6) attach endstop flags (like copper sheets) in appropriate positions; 7) enjoy your newly installed endstop holders!
