Knurled Thread Protector (Airsoft)

I needed a knurled thread protector for my airsoft gun, so I took Aubenc's Knurled Surface Finishing Library and Enone's Airsoft M4 Threaded Flash Hiders and mashed the models together seamlessly. This results in a slightly wider design than a standard metal knurled thread protector, yet it functions identically. Note: Threading is 14MM counterclockwise. In other words, you screw it tight to the left and loose to the right. Airsoft guns and real guns generally have threads installed this way. To print this as a right-hand clockwise thread, simply mirror the model - I've included the master Blender file. Note: I'm unsure where to indicate it in the upload, but this is a work-in-progress project. Update 08/23/19: I created this design a long time ago, and while it's relatively simple and cobbled together from other uploads, I still experience difficulties getting these parts to thread correctly. Although the threading is indeed 14mm x 1, 3D printers often struggle with tight threads like this one, resulting in re-tapped threads once you attach this protector. In effect, the threads will gradually wear out of the thread protector over time. I thought it was a good idea to note this for people since this design is still occasionally viewed and collected.
