Knurled Cylindrical Container (easy to print thread)
prusaprinters

Originally, I designed this container to hold 1 inch [diameter] x 5/8th inch tall samples (e.g,. 25.4 mm x 16 mm for my fellow users of the metric[better] system). They quickly became popular with my lab mates, and ended up printing several dozen to house samples and other miscellaneous items.

Because common threads can be difficult for some printers to print accurately, I opted to design in a more "printer friendly" version.

You may experience that the first couple of times putting on/removing the lid can be a bit tight. This is normal, and progressively work/bread in the threads by twisting the cap on and off.

IMPORTANT If the cap/body is very tight and the threads start to bind, I strongly suggest to lightly sand/file the threads to try to remove any high spots or burs that are causing the issue. I've had this experience when using a printer that was not very well dialed-in or tuned.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

I3 MK3S

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2 mm

Infill:

15%

Filament:
Any PETG/PLA

Category: Containers
