Combatants employ fist-load weapons known as brass knuckles in hand-to-hand fighting. These tools consist of metal pieces molded to fit snugly around the knuckles. Contrary to their name, they are frequently constructed from alternative metals, plastics, or carbon fibers. Engineered to amplify and concentrate a punch's force by channeling it towards a smaller and harder contact area, brass knuckles lead to enhanced tissue disruption, including an increased chance of fracturing target bones upon impact. The extended palm grip also distributes the counter-force that would typically be absorbed primarily by the attacker's fingers across the entire palm, thereby reducing the likelihood of injury to the attacker's fingers.
