KnuckleDragger:bit
thingiverse
This is a precision laser cut robot design that utilizes three standard servos, carefully selected from online retailers for their affordability. Movement is achieved through a linear actuator-driven lifter, which enables the servo half-wheels to reset before rotating forward again. A custom mount is designed to accommodate a BBC Micro:bit and a DFRobot Micro:mate expansion board, while a high-capacity 2000MAh phonebank charger provides reliable power. The design's compact size requires some finesse during assembly, but the rewards are well worth the effort. Assuming a 3mm material thickness for laser cutting, this design is optimized for use with MDF boards. Tight tolerances ensure that components fit together seamlessly without the need for adhesives.
