Knuckle coupler 1/32 - Scale I - Openrailway

For a long time, I've been eager to design a 1/32 scale knuckle coupler that can replace the oversized LGB coupler on my US rail cars. After several failed attempts, I finally found an easy-to-print and functional design. The automatic coupling works as expected and remains hooked even in tight curves. It also interfaces correctly with an 820 Kadee coupler (and probably other brands as well). The springs are printed, eliminating the need for small, pricey steel springs that can be difficult to find. This project is still a work in progress since I need to design different gearboxes to fit my various cars. So far, I've completed four: Small: all-purpose. Medium: designed specifically for my US Box Car (available at https://www.myminifactory.com/object/26129). Large: created for my US Bobber Caboose (available at https://www.myminifactory.com/object/26028). With lateral holes: box and cover designed for the US 8-axle Flat Car (available at https://www.myminifactory.com/object/26071). I still have some work to do on other designs.
