Knotted Polyhedral Torus
thingiverse
This surfaced in my thesis back in 1994. I was researching variations of monohedral idemvalent toroids, a concept initially explored by Alaoglu and Giese back in 1946. The fascinating property of this polyhedron is that every triangle is perfectly identical to every other one. Specifically, there are six triangles converging at each vertex, but it still proves difficult to smooth out the surface around these vertices.
