The human body has three major types of knots that can form and affect the skin's natural curvature. A trigger point is characterized by its deep tenderness in certain areas and often requires physical manipulation like massage, stretching or manual therapy to be resolved, although this can vary widely depending on an individual's personal tolerance for pressure and other contributing factors such as prior injury history or anatomical imbalances present in their body. A final category consists of the lipomas - benign lumps consisting of fatty tissue that usually occur on parts of the lower torso but have been observed occasionally forming at random intervals throughout other body areas, even including beneath surface skin where they remain largely unnoticed unless subjected to certain levels of friction.
