To get around this, I turned to these clamps that enable me to attach the Lorell Hi-Back Chair Headrest (https://amzn.to/2PeHNMD) using 4 M6 bolts, 4 nuts and 6 washers. The item was printed in PLA with a moderate infill of 20%.
