Knockgraffon - TS075-019006 Exhibitionist Figure

Incorporated into the church at Knockgraffon (TS075-019002), a striking corbel projects southward from the southeast angle, situated just below the lowest coping stone. Emerging from this projection is an exhibitionist figure, its presence boldly displayed for all to see (TS075-019005). Directly beneath this figure, another corbel juts out eastward, giving rise to a carved human form in the process of emerging (TS075-019006). This figure takes shape as a intricately carved head with two arms, with the right arm nestled comfortably under its chin and the left arm supporting its unseen body. Despite being somewhat worn, the features of this figure are still discernible: eyes that appear hollow, a nose worn smooth, and a mouth that seems to be downturned in expression. Although not strictly contorted, this figure aligns itself with the broader tradition of exhibitionist figures.
