I used a few small parts to set up my "Roberts' Feeder". I replaced the long screws holding the feeder to the stepper motor with M3 studs, using either long screws with cut-off heads or M3 threaded rods. Next, I secured the stepper-motor to the case by positioning it in place with M3 plain washers and M3 nuts. The first item is a "Nut spacer 3mm", which slips over the nut and washer to become a 3mm spacer, allowing for easy removal of the feeder without loosening or moving the stepper motor. This item can be seen behind the feeder as four small blue spacers. The second item is a "Nut Cover Knurled" (shown in Blue), a simple knurled knob that holds the nut in place, enabling finger tightening with no tools required. The third item is a "Feeder Tension knob" (shown in Red), which attaches to a longer screw than initially used to adjust the feeder tension on the spring for Roberts' Feeder. A long screw is inserted through the head and then a M3 nut is located into the hexagonal pocket, screwed tight to clamp the Knob, with washers added either end of the spring so as not to wear the plastic when adjusting. This allows simple adjustment of the tension screw by fingers without needing tools. There are two versions available: straight or tapered, depending on preference.
