Knob for 6Mx1.0 Bolt
thingiverse
I created this for my Craftsman table saw, which was missing a crucial bolt that secures the extension table in place. I manufactured it using ABS material with 50% infill, as that's what my printer settings dictated at the time. I utilized CURA as my slicer of choice, selecting brim mode; however, it appears that the print somehow offset the brim, necessitating some careful cutting to remove excess from the top surface once the print was complete. The threaded hole is a standard 7mm diameter. While hand-tightening was feasible initially, I ultimately required a screwdriver to fully secure the bolt in place. For those who prefer a more effortless hand-tightening experience, consider slightly enlarging the part's dimensions. In the accompanying image, the original part appears as black, whereas my printed replica is translucent.
