Knive Holder (wall mounted)

Knive Holder (wall mounted)

prusaprinters

This is a wall-mount for your kitchen knives, which uses the knive's mass to hold it in place!

The white lever remains in an open position, as long as there's no knive in the holder. When you put your knive in, the lever closes and prevents the knive from falling out.

This holder can be screwed or glued to a wall.

Instructions

I printed the parts out of PLA with standard Prusa-Slicer settings and 2 perimeters.

Furthermore, you'll need two M5 nuts and one M3x12mm bolt. Press the nuts into the slots in the lever and screw them both together, according to the pictures. It can be tough to get the bolt screwed into the plastic. If that's the case you can use some kind of center punch to make the edge even more tapered.

For mounting to a wall you can either choose to use the two tapered screw holes or you can glue it with double-sided tape to the wall.

Notes

The knive shown in the pictures has a 45mm tall blade. Therefore, the holder shown in the pictures is the 45mm version. This version also works with a 48mm tall blade. Other versions are provided, but not fully tested. There is also a lever V2, which has a slightly longer hook, you can use, if your knive doesn't work with the lever V1.
