Knitting loom
thingiverse
I designed a 30cm knitting loom system as a gift using Blender. This design will print solid, without needing supports or assembly. To avoid layer delamination at the base of the pins, check out my print settings. The pins were engineered to be as strong as possible while still allowing for a single-piece print. Each pin features a small groove that accommodates your knitting hook, except for the two end pins. Considering the loom's size, printing it may require some adjustment. I successfully printed this model on my Alfawise U30 printer, which has a 22*22 cm build area. To fit within these constraints, I positioned the model diagonally during the print job. To print this design, you'll need a perfectly flat bed and may need to use a raft for support. I used a custom raft just for the end pins, as the one generated by Cura exceeded my printer's build area.
