Knight01-Kris
thingiverse
This project showcased my six week stint as Creator of Learning and Discovery Experiences at the Westport Library MakerSpace with fantastic results. Staff, patrons, and I collaborated to design and build intricate cardboard costumes resembling chess pieces, transforming into life-like models through digital rendering. We then scanned participants using Autodesk 123D Catch software, generating high-quality meshes that were refined and repaired with Meshmixer and Netfabb respectively. These 3D scans were then imported into Tinkercad where we carefully assembled the models onto a base, resulting in stunning visualizations. Additionally, a detailed account of the project can be found here. Instructions The library's copy was skillfully printed on a MakerBot Replicator using high-grade ABS material with a precise .3mm resolution and 10% infill ratio for added durability.
