### This is an older project here are the work steps I took to create this: - Create a 3D model of the castle for 8mm and 4mm poplar plywood in OpenSCAD - Create a 2D projection of the parts also in OpenSCAD and export to SVG - Post-editing the SVG file with Inkscape and splitting it into separate files for different boards - Export SVG files as DXF - Cut out the DXF files (except for the base plates, as they are too large) with a laser cutter from Fablabs-Neckar-Alb: Radium Laser Model 1390 - Cleaning the boards from the ashes from cutting - Trace a pattern of bricks onto the boards with a ruler and pencil - Milling a brick pattern with Dremel 3000 - Sanding the boards with sandpaper - Gluing parts with wood glue to form larger units, such as towers, outer walls, etc. - Painting the parts (primary color) with acrylic paint - Partial painting of the details with acrylic paint - Design of flag base with OpenSCAD and export as STL - Design the flag with Blender and export as STL - Prepare the 3D print of the flag parts with slic3r - 3D printing of the flag parts with CT'c Replicator 2 Clone of the Fablabs-Neckar-Alb - Creating the flags from flag parts and flower sticks - Painting details with acrylic paint - Gluing the larger units into a castle - Touching up the paintwork at the splices - Plotting a template for the floor panels with a Din A0 plotter - Sawing the floor panels with a jigsaw at the Fablab-Neckar-Alb - Sand the bottom plate edges with sandpaper - Gluing the floor panels - Painting the floor panels with acrylic paint - Soldering and crafting the lighting unit - Fasten the lighting unit in the castle with Velcro - Glue wooden blocks into the towers to attach the base plate to them - Fasten the castle and stairs to the floor panels with wood screws www.fablab-neckar-alb.org
