Knight’s Armament Logo

It was a lazy Saturday, and I was inspired by Mishkin2’s collection of wall art, so I whipped this up. It’s meant to be 3d printed, but I guess you can also use it (particularly the “positive” version) for laser cutting. The easiest way I found to mount them on the wall is to use double sided mounting tape on the larger surface area parts of the print. On the negative logo, the helmet and the axe.On the positive logo, just the four corners is enough.I printed mine in black PLA with a 0.3mm layer height and 10% infill without any issues. If you want a better quality print, use more top layers. You can kind of see the infill pattern on mine with 3 top layers (so use 4+). The only part to be careful of is the fleur-de-lis portion under the shield. If you don’t have good surface adhesion, your print may be torpedoed here because it’s a small and detailed portion that needs quick retraction. I’d recommend going to a 15 mm/s first layer speed if you’re having issues. The downside to that is that it adds a decent amount of time to the print. If you choose to scale the model down, be careful with the ”negative” file because the little connectors that hold the floating bits may disappear.
