Knife Sharpening Guide

Knife sharpening guides for whetstone sharpening. These guides will help you learn what holding a knife at 45 degrees to the stone at an angle of 20 or 15 degrees feels like. These guides will help you develop the muscle memory for holding the knife in this position by allowing you to verify your angles for each stroke. How to use Guide:1. Place the guide on the end of the stone. 2. Lean knife up against guide. This will put the knife in optimal sharpening position3. Proceed with sharpening strokes, being sure to keep your knife in the same position. These guides helped me a lot to learn how to sharpen knifes and I hope they will help you as well! This guide will fit 6 cm wide stones (which is the most common width of stones on amazon). If you have a stone that is narrower than this, I included a shim which you can scale the Z axis to the width you need. There are two angles included: 15 degrees and 20 degrees. The correct angle should be used for your particular knife. Typically Japanese knifes are sharpened at 15 degrees, whereas North American and European knives are sharpened at 20 degrees.  Recommended Settings:Layer Height: 0.2mmPrint Orientation: leave it as it is in the .3mf file (with the face to the print bed)
