Knife Sharpening Guide for 6" Ryobi bench Grinder (BG612G)

I purchased a Ryobi 6" bench grinder, model BG612G, from Home Depot to sharpen knives using The Razer Sharp Edge-Making System. I found it challenging to get a consistent edge when free-handing the grind, so I reversed the wheels and chose to sharpen my blades by holding them level with the ground. To determine where on the wheel to hold the blade, I created these edge-sharpening guides that screw onto the grinder and have an indicator at 20% and 45%. I align the tip of the arrow with the center of the shaft and hold my blade level with the ground, then grind it on the wheel along that line. This setup works perfectly!
