Custom made for my Wusthof whetstone (ref 704773), here's my sharpening device I designed it myself, inspired by others I found online, tailored to my tastes and needs. I bought the stone from knivesandtools (24€ + shipping) and was very happy with it, but wanted more precision while sharpening my knives, so here it is. Here are the specs: 150mm x 50mm x 24.5mm for the stone itself, a 10mm aluminium tube, M5 bolts that fit tightly without glue, and small wood screws for the stone holder. I used a 10mm wide, 2mm thick magnet, which was a bit tricky to fit but stays in place once it's there. You'll find two angle parts, set at 20 and 25°. This will help you calibrate the device to the exact angle needed (usually between 17 and 25° for knives). The thinner the angle, the sharper the knife gets, but also wears faster. I've uploaded all the STL files and a photo of the assembled part - please don't print it! It's just meant to help you figure out how to make it work. Feel free to ask me anything, I'd be happy to help. And remember to wet your stone before using it - it's designed for use with water, not dry. If you're unsure about the process, have a look online - there are plenty of resources available. Thanks! [UPDATE] Following your request, I added a 35x25mm stone holder.
