I made some changes to this design at thingiverse to make it simpler. M10 threaded rods are widely available, making them a convenient choice. You only need an 8mm smooth rod, as the LM8UU can be replaced with a printed one. I've found that using a printed one works well and provides a smooth, quiet operation.
