Knife handle for 1 screw blade
thingiverse
This knife handle was created for a blade that had been without a home for about six years. When my wife suggested throwing it away, I knew the time had come to give it new life. Although I'm not sure if anyone else will find this useful, here's how I made it work again. I initially used two 4-40 machine screws, each 3/4-inch long, along with their corresponding nuts. However, these needed to be shortened to fit the handle perfectly. The images provide a clearer view of the process. Inside the handle, there is a compartment designed specifically for accommodating the blade. To ensure a secure fit, it's recommended to heat the blade beforehand and clamp it firmly into place - especially if your handle is thicker than 1.2mm. When creating drawings that will be used in my slicer, I usually have to increase their size by ten times. This might be due to the fact that I create them in millimeters, while the slicer expects measurements in centimeters.
