Knife Bridge
prusaprinters
<p>It is a knife block as entry for the knife holder contest. Very open design, so very easy to clean everything. It is inspired by the shape of a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Truss_bridge">truss bridge</a>.</p><p>It may also serve as a bridging torture test. I managed to print mine without any supports.</p><p>Be sure to print in this orientation:</p><figure class="image image_resized" style="width:85.32%;"><img src="https://media.printables.com/media/prints/263387/rich_content/33d1b765-2336-4bb0-9a4c-c6bd82f36c92/printorientation.png#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%22074f0b34-034b-498f-bff4-8768f189f539%22%2C%22w%22%3A812%2C%22h%22%3A622%7D"></figure><p>And make sure you have the correct bridging parameters set. Maybe do some test before you start the print. Therefore, I added the test stl-file, which is a cutout of the hardest part to print.</p><p>I did some bridging test before committing 300 gr of PLA:</p><figure class="image"><img src="https://media.printables.com/media/prints/263387/rich_content/6b0cd591-397a-48fb-8c85-e2c4fdf61b23/testpiece.jpg#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%222fa7a5fd-398a-4eb8-bb67-829677315719%22%2C%22w%22%3A1549%2C%22h%22%3A784%7D"></figure><p>If these print fine, the total model will print fine too.</p><p>After printing mine, it occurred to me that maybe other people have different knife sets, so I made two more general versions.</p>
