This low poly knife can easily work together with smooth settings. It's also perfect for use on a CNC machine. Available in various file formats: Maya 2018 with smooth settings has a total of 84,800 tris - and when adjusted to level two, it comes down to just 5,220 tris when the smooth feature is disabled. You'll also find the knife in OBJ (.obj) format, both with and without the smooth option. Same goes for FBX (.fbx) file types. All told, you'll get five separate files in different formats to work with. Inside Maya, it's easy to tweak the polygon count by adjusting the iterations from the smooth modifier - this way, you can go as low or high as needed to fit your design style.
