KMart Anko 5L spool holder (20mm-60mm)

A custom spool holder designed for use within an AU$4 5L Anko food container sold by KMart suits spools with an inner diameter between 20mm and 60mm and up to approximately 80mm across. Created with 1KG spools in mind, this holder can be mounted horizontally but may support heavier spools vertically. For mounting, 18mm or ¾" holes are required in the lid and tub - use a spade bit for a cleaner cut as these containers are quite brittle. A complete unit consists of 1x Post, 1x Flange, 1x Roller, 2x Through Bolts, 2x Bearing Cups, and 4x Through Bolt Washers to be printed with 2x 608 bearings. An externally accessible Winder is included optionally along with a 608 bearing substitute. Final assembly features 40cm of PTFE tube (4mm/2mm), silica desiccant, and a fresh 1kg spool of 3DFillies clear PETG using the Mini PTFE Tube Grommet. For larger spools or more visual appeal, try the 50mm-100mm mechanical variant. Note: These Anko containers are not air tight; run a bead of something (silicone, hot glue, etc) to make a better seal.
