I wanted some basic 3D scanning capabilities for my Ender 3This WIP thing screws onto the end of an inductive bed probe. It has a small 2D spring at the end that fits a M3 bolt. The idea is that the bolt is connected to a pin facing the bed/object. The end if the bolt is set just out of range of the probe inside the attachment. When making contact with a surface or object the bolt is pushed up toward the probe triggering it.A WIP python script is in the works to gather the data using the Moonraker API. Still in early phases but working well so far. The included script needs a lot a polish and only measures at 1mm resolution for the moment. Scanned object is exported to an openscad surface and an openscad file is updated on every write so if you leave it open in openscad it should auto refresh on your screen as it scans
